The Legend Continues
An overnight stay at Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary is a South Australian rite of passage. For good reason. Protected for over 40 years by a world’s first feral-proof fence, Warrawong is a haven for rare and endangered Australian animals. It is a truly unique natural environment, acclaimed around the globe. Now, the next generation can create life-long memories by camping at Warrawong.
Peace for Mind and Body
Refresh your body at night in one of the 13 insulated safari tents. Each tent is 5m x 4.8m, and has a 3m x 5m covered veranda. Ten of the tents are furnished with 4 x triple-decker bunk beds (sleeping 120 students), while 3 have 4 x king single beds (sleeping 12 adults). There are multiple toilet and shower amenities.
Refuel your body with catering, as required, prepared in the Sanctuary’s commercial kitchen. The actual dining facilities are located in the cottage end of the Education Centre.
Relax your mind with the comfort of knowing the 2m high fence surrounding Warrawong protects all inhabitants. Every camp is safe, secure, and serene.
Capture Their Hearts...
And their minds will follow. It's that simple. Australia’s beautiful native animals, in their natural surrounds, inspire children of all ages. Add wildlife shows, activities, interactions, and immersive encounters, and you've created a truly captivating experience.
It's educational. It's entertaining. Now that's edu-tainment!
Making a Difference
A camp at Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary enables young environmentalists to work side-by-side with qualified wildlife keepers. Water ecology, invasive species management, land care... Camp visitors get involved with real conservation projects that make a real difference. Such involvement is what transformed Warrawong from a dairy, in 1969, to the thriving ecosystem, it is today, comprised of grasslands, scrublands, wetlands, sclerophyll forests, and South Australia’s only rainforest.
